By day, I'm a fintech software developer navigating the corporate-heavy world of BGC. But long before I was writing code, I was the kid winning elementary school drawing contests and spending high school obsessing over Adobe Illustrator. Eventually, the demands of life took over. The screen became my entire world, and that creative outlet slowly faded into the background.

I spent years chasing the "next big thing"—trying my hand at software businesses, mobile apps, import ventures, and YouTube automation. While they all taught me valuable lessons (mostly about the endless grind of social media marketing), they shared the same fundamental problem: they kept me trapped behind a monitor.

By the time 2026 rolled around, my brain was exhausted from the endless pursuit of cracking the virality of a business. While lifting weights helped me blow off the physical stress of the corporate grind, my creative side was still completely starved. I desperately needed a break from the computer. I needed to make something tangible with my hands, and, quite frankly, touch some grass.

That's when I discovered tufting.

Balancing Code and Canvas

Tufting became the ultimate disconnect after clocking out. Instead of typing lines of code or debugging software, I was threading yarn. Instead of staring at a screen, I was holding a tufting gun and working directly with monk cloth. It gave the creative side of my brain exactly what it had been starving for—a physical, tactile, and deeply rewarding process.

Today, Fuzzy Rugs is my creative revival. Every piece I make is an intentional pause from the digital world to reconnect with the physical one. Behind every rug is a design rooted in my lifelong love for art, brought to life through a process that transforms raw material into something with its own distinct personality.

At Fuzzy Rugs, I'm not just making home decor. I'm putting my phone down, taking a break from the keyboard, and creating the tangible art I always wanted to make.
